I will be starting as an Assistant Professor in the Biomedical Informatics department at Stony Brook University, New York in Spring 2020. My research interests lie at the intersection of medical image analysis and machine learning. I am currently a Research Associate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, USA. I obtained my PhD in May 2017. Prior to joining CWRU in 2013, I received my masters degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University, NJ, USA and bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India.
My current research focuses on developing image analysis and machine learning tools to address several unmet clinical needs in the fields of brain, breast and lung cancers, and also in non-oncologic diseases such as diabetic macular edema.
